Originally called THC, Subscribe was founded on the 16th of January 1999. The band was renamed Subscribe when new vocalist Bálint Csongor joined in 2000. Despite the band's young age, Subscribe played at almost every Hungarian festival in 2001 and 2002 on top of winning two major talent-scouting contests. As if this wasn't enough, the vast number of Hungarian concerts and Festivals they performed in 2003 was topped with appearances in Serbia, Slovakia, Austria and the Netherlands. Straight after that, Subscribe track "Friendship" was selected for the Dutch "Hongarije Aan Zee" compilation CD. Meanwhile, the band played at almost every larger festival in Hungary (Sziget, Volt, Wanted, Efott, Sportsziget etc.). Their track "Feedback" was selected for the Sziget festival compilation CD (Tom-Tom records). In August 2003, a track for the BPRNR (budapestrocknroll) compilation CD Vol. 1 was recorded. After a new series of shows and festivals in 2004, Subscribe's first record was completed and released in December 2004 (EDGE records). The album, titled "Sanity Has Left The Building", consists of 12 high quality songs. Also, the song "X-man" was released on the BPRNR compilation CD Vol. 2 and the song "Friendship" on the Hammerworld compilation. The first preview show with the new album resulted in a full-house party in Budapest's most popular alternative club Kultiplex. As homage, the band members also formed a Rage Against The Machine Tribute band called Guilty Parties, which also draws large crowds as it fits with the fans' high standards. As it is Subscribe's main aim to be recognized on the European and International music scene, the band is looking forward to their upcoming European tour in June 2005, as they will be supporting Pro-Pain and Superbutt. That same month, Dutch distributor Two Fat Men will release the CD worldwide.
