SUPERBUTT biography From the ashes of former major label acts, Superbutt was born in February 2000. Starting from April 2000, the band was already active on stage and played a fair number of big Hungarian festivals besides touring heavily around the country. With the intention of finding a good base for their music, they recorded a 3-song demo (only available at the website) and to finish the year with a bang they shot the first Superbutt video (Lust Kills), which was later regularly played by large and small Hungarian TV stations. The demo recordings made it possible for the band to sign a label deal with Warner Music Hungary in February 2001. Shortly afterwards, the first full-length CD, 2 Minutes For Roughing, was released and even more intense touring followed. Besides the usual Hungarian festivals (including the Pepsi Island festival headlining with Ignite and facing thousands of people), Superbutt also started playing outside of Hungary in Austria, Italy and Germany (e.g. at the With Full Force festival in Leipzig). The band was even chosen as an opening act for the Rollins Band on one occasion. 2002 announced itself as another successful year for Superbutt: "2 Minutes For Roughing" was picked up and got released in Bulgaria by local Warner licensee Orpheus Records. The band performed in Switzerland, Germany and Holland and had a very active festival season in Hungary, crowned by headlining the Metal Hammer Main Stage of the Island Festival. By the end of August the new video (Losing My Way) was ready and Belgium and France were added to the gig agenda. The second full-length album will be recorded this summer, again on Warner Music Hungary. Musicast France will also distribute it. At the moment, a mini-tour is being put together by Hardebaran to allow you to enjoy their excellent live show at different Belgian venues.
