HAELO biography : Haelo was founded in 1996 under the monicker after@all, with the clear motivation to create something really new, both musically and spiritually. Something unusual and timeless. The diverse musical backgrounds of the members proved to be a true asset in the realization of this venture. Hard work in the rehearsal room as well as live made it possible to release their first promotional CD only one year later. Thanks to the excellent reviews it got, this material quickly earned after@all their place among the best progressive bands in their native country, Hungary. The band spent the next one and half years performing in the most important clubs in the country (e.g. supporting King's X in Budapest in 1999), and giving away interviews to accompany the many reviews that were published. In the autumn of 1999, after@all was selected (with the song "A Color In Dark") for the compilation "Power Hung(a)ry", published by Hammer Records in order to promote the most talented Hungarian bands. Since then, the band toured through their country several times, performing in the best rated places (among others: Pepsi Island Festival, EFOTT, KOTTA, Mezőtúr, ZED-Festival, Tokaj-Hegyalja Festival), between 1999 and 2001. New songs were written in this period, which provided the base for the first independent release, "Chameleon". The album attracted the attention of progressive label Periferic Records in the summer of 2001. This is how second release "A.C.I.D." came into existence. It holds a mix of classical Prog Rock elements with modern and futuristic musical solutions that truly reflects the unique conception and musicality of the band. "A.C.I.D." can be bought in 20 different countries and was praised by the best known Prog magazines. In spring 2004, after@all became Haelo in order to avoid copyright problems with a homonymous Belgian band. Today, a brand new promotional CD has been edited by the band in order to open up a worldwide window of possibilities with larger labels for the upcoming new album.
